Jenn Lucas, FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner)

Jenn Lucas, CNFNP

Jenn Lucas is the latest primary care provider to SFM.  She is a family nurse practitioner, which means besides seeing adults, she loves to take care of children.  Being a mother of three rambunctious children, Jenn loves to care for the entire family. There isn't much that phases this spontaneous mother of three.  

She earned her bachelor’s degree in social work and later her Masters in Nursing from the University of Southern Maine.  Her expertise and special interests lie in preventative medicine, family medicine, and general wellness care.  She loves to see adults and children and is accepting new patients.  "I find myself drawn to continuity of care.  I want to see patients and families over and over again, so I can get to know my patients.  This allows me to follow through on their health overtime."  Jenn is also passionate about learning more about holistic healthcare options and bringing those to her patients.  

Patients have described Jenn with words such as:  experienced, confident, laid back, caring, and inquisitive.  We just find her to be alot of fun to have around and a person with a real heart of gold.    
 
Areas of passion for Jenn includes: general pediatrics, integrative treatment of spectrum disorders for adult and children, food intolerance testing, brain neurotransmitter testing, nutrition/diet/and natural supplements as the cornerstone of good health. 
 
From a young age, Jenn found herself drawn to careers that provided care for others.  She started her professional career as a social worker and later, she entered the field of nursing.  She has had a wealth of experience caring for people in a variety of diverse settings.  She is particularly interested in supporting families in their path to wellness and that includes her own path in learning more about integrating holistic medicine into her care of her patients. 
 
Jenn moved to Oregon from Portland, Maine in 2010 with her husband, twin boys and daughter.  They are loving Oregon, the tall Douglas firs and the rugged coast.  In her spare time Jenn loves doing crazy craft projects with her kids and poking around all of the vintage shops in Portland.  We've just found out recently that she's an excellent knitter.
